Today, the Armenian National Karate Federation and the Russian-Armenian University signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The document was signed by RAU Rector, Professor Edward Sandoyan, and President of the Armenian National Karate Federation, Vazgen Harutyunyan.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of promoting sports culture among young people and expressed their willingness to support such initiatives.
“We are investing all our resources to make sports more engaging for the youth. It will be significant for us if you are able to make use of these resources. This joint initiative with the Federation holds special importance for us,” emphasized Edward Sandoyan.
In turn, Vazgen Harutyunyan expressed gratitude to the RAU leadership for their effective cooperation:
“We will strive to make our modest contribution to the development of this partnership.”
Following the official part, a lecture was organized for the university students and guests by sports psychologist Irina Popova. She spoke about the tools and approaches of sports psychology, highlighting that mental preparedness is a crucial resource that helps athletes and coaches perform as a unified whole and gain an advantage in competitions.
